The project that I mentioned last week (I need your input on a new project) is going well. Most of the projects that I have worked on in the past had copy provided. This project, however, I have to produce the copy myself. The problem is I enjoy writing code not copy so I'm thinking of using a copy writer and would like to hear from those of you whow have. Please take a moment and let me know what your experience has been. How do you look for in a good copy writer? What questions should I ask?

Jo Corless United Kingdom on 4/14/2011 3:18 AM I have used a copy writer in the past & do believe it is extremely worthwhile - We might be good programmers but that doesn't necessarily make us good communicators especially when it comes to copy

I am very fortunate that I have a very very good copywriter on my  contact list - in fact he's a very dear friend but with his background, he's also more than up for the job

I will promote him http://copydevil.co.uk but only because he really is good at his job

The sort of information you need to ask is portfolio evidence - You need to see past work & whether it will suit the project you are doing
